Fund operations: Claude skills backed by calculation code
Fund administration and wealth operations checks - position reconciliation against the custodian, NAV tie-out with level 3 and stale-price flags, LP capital statement roll-forwards, and month-end close tracking - plus guidance for accounting and regulatory reporting that the engines do not perform.
What wealth-fund-ops calculates
4 commands, each available in the CLI, as an MCP tool and as a JavaScript import. Every result carries the method it used, the questions it still needs answered and the next steps worth taking.
| Command | What it returns | What it needs |
|---|---|---|
fundops reconcile | Reconciles book positions against the custodian, listing quantity, value and missing-position breaks. | book |
fundops nav-tieout | Recomputes NAV from assets and liabilities, and flags variances, level 3 exposure and stale prices. | fund |
fundops lp-statement | Checks that an LP capital account statement rolls forward, with commitment and fee checks. | statement |
fundops close-status | Month-end close status: progress, overdue and blocked tasks, and what can start now. | tasks, asOf |
When to use it
- Reconcile book positions against a custodian or administrator file.
- Check whether a fund's NAV ties out, or review a valuation for level 3 exposure and stale marks.
- Audit an LP capital account statement.
- Report where the month-end close stands.
Requests this pack answers:
- “reconcile against the custodian”
- “why do the positions not match”
- “does the NAV tie out”
- “review this valuation”
- “does this capital statement tie”
- “audit the LP statement”
- “where are we on the close”
- “what is overdue for month end”
What it does not do
Named here because leaving it out is how an agent ends up asserting something the code never computed.
Guidance only, no engine behind it
- General ledger posting, journal entries and accrual calculations
- Fund accounting systems such as SS&C Geneva
- Regulatory filings such as Form 13F, N-PORT and N-CEN
- Valuation methodology review and fair value committee work
- Custody Rule surprise examinations
Limits to state with every result
- Reconciliation matches on account and security exactly as supplied; it does not map identifiers or apply corporate actions.
- NAV tie-out recomputes from the supplied assets and liabilities; it values nothing itself.
- Statement checks confirm the arithmetic and consistency with fund terms, not that the underlying values are right.
- Nothing here posts entries or strikes a NAV. Results go to the administrator or controller.
Run it

node bin/wealth-skills.js fundops close-status --as-of 2026-09-07 --tasks '[{"id":"bank","name":"Bank reconciliations","status":"done","due":"2026-09-03"},{"id":"nav","name":"NAV strike","status":"not_started","due":"2026-09-08","dependsOn":["bank"]}]'
The same commands are exposed as MCP tools, so Claude, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and any other MCP client can call them directly. See the integration guide and the pack itself, skills/wealth-fund-ops/SKILL.md.

Questions it answers
Reconcile against the custodian?
Reconciles book positions against the custodian, listing quantity, value and missing-position breaks. Run fundops reconcile in the CLI, or call the same tool over MCP. It needs book. Breaks are found by matching account and security. The result carries the method it used, the data it used, anything still missing and the next steps worth taking, for a licensed professional to review.
Does the NAV tie out?
Recomputes NAV from assets and liabilities, and flags variances, level 3 exposure and stale prices. Run fundops nav-tieout in the CLI, or call the same tool over MCP. It needs fund. NAV is recomputed from them. The result carries the method it used, the data it used, anything still missing and the next steps worth taking, for a licensed professional to review.
Does this capital statement tie?
Checks that an LP capital account statement rolls forward, with commitment and fee checks. Run fundops lp-statement in the CLI, or call the same tool over MCP. It needs statement. The roll-forward needs every line. The result carries the method it used, the data it used, anything still missing and the next steps worth taking, for a licensed professional to review.
Where are we on the close?
Month-end close status: progress, overdue and blocked tasks, and what can start now. Run fundops close-status in the CLI, or call the same tool over MCP. It needs tasks and asOf. Progress and readiness come from the task list. The result carries the method it used, the data it used, anything still missing and the next steps worth taking, for a licensed professional to review.
