Execution: Claude skills backed by calculation code
Pre-trade validation (buying power, oversell, short-term gain), order payload construction for Alpaca, Interactive Brokers and FIX 4.4, ISIN/CUSIP/FIGI/LEI check digits and T+1 settlement dates, for human-approved execution. Builds payloads only - never submits orders or connects to a custodian.
What wealth-execution calculates
5 commands, each available in the CLI, as an MCP tool and as a JavaScript import. Every result carries the method it used, the questions it still needs answered and the next steps worth taking.
| Command | What it returns | What it needs |
|---|---|---|
execution validate | Pre-trade checks: buying power, overselling and holding period. | order |
execution payload | Broker order payload for Alpaca or Interactive Brokers. Built locally, never submitted. | order, account |
execution fix-payload | FIX 4.4 New Order Single message for a custodian. | symbol |
execution identifier | Validates ISIN, CUSIP, FIGI and LEI check digits, and MIC and CFI formats. | id |
execution settlement-date | T+1 settlement date under SEC Rule 15c6-1, skipping weekends and supplied holidays. | tradeDate |
When to use it
Requests this pack answers:
- “can they afford this trade”
- “is this sell allowed”
- “build the order for alpaca”
- “prepare this trade for IBKR”
- “generate a FIX order”
- “build a 35=D message”
- “is this ISIN valid”
- “check this CUSIP”
- “when does this trade settle”
- “settlement date”
What it does not do
Named here because leaving it out is how an agent ends up asserting something the code never computed.
Guidance only, no engine behind it
- Schwab, Fidelity and Pershing custodian workflows (there are no custodian connectors)
- Order submission, routing and best execution
- Block allocations, corporate actions and ACAT transfers
Limits to state with every result
- Checks fail closed: a buy needs a reference price and settled cash, and a sell needs the held position. Missing data is an error, not a pass.
- Interactive Brokers routes on the contract ID. Resolve the
conidwithGET /iserver/secdef/search?symbol=<ticker>and pass it explicitly; the builder refuses to guess. - FIX
MsgSeqNummust come from the live FIX session; the generator's counter is a placeholder.
Run it
node bin/wealth-skills.js execution validate --order '{"symbol":"VTI","action":"BUY","quantity":50,"price":275}' --settled-cash 25000
node bin/wealth-skills.js execution validate --order '{"symbol":"VTI","action":"SELL","quantity":40,"price":275}' --positions '{"VTI":100}'
node bin/wealth-skills.js execution payload --broker Alpaca --account ACC-123 --order '{"symbol":"VTI","action":"BUY","quantity":50,"price":275}'
node bin/wealth-skills.js execution payload --broker IBKR --account "$IBKR_ACCOUNT" --conid "$VTI_CONID" --order '{"symbol":"VTI","action":"BUY","quantity":50,"price":275}'
node bin/wealth-skills.js execution fix-payload --custodian Pershing_NetX360 --symbol VTI --side BUY --qty 500 --price 275.50
The same commands are exposed as MCP tools, so Claude, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and any other MCP client can call them directly. See the integration guide and the pack itself, skills/wealth-execution/SKILL.md.

Questions it answers
Can they afford this trade?
Pre-trade checks: buying power, overselling and holding period. Run execution validate in the CLI, or call the same tool over MCP. It needs order. Every check is against the order. The result carries the method it used, the data it used, anything still missing and the next steps worth taking, for a licensed professional to review.
Build the order for alpaca?
Broker order payload for Alpaca or Interactive Brokers. Built locally, never submitted. Run execution payload in the CLI, or call the same tool over MCP. It needs order and account. It becomes the payload. The result carries the method it used, the data it used, anything still missing and the next steps worth taking, for a licensed professional to review.
Generate a FIX order?
FIX 4.4 New Order Single message for a custodian. Run execution fix-payload in the CLI, or call the same tool over MCP. It needs symbol. These become the FIX tags. The result carries the method it used, the data it used, anything still missing and the next steps worth taking, for a licensed professional to review.
Is this ISIN valid?
Validates ISIN, CUSIP, FIGI and LEI check digits, and MIC and CFI formats. Run execution identifier in the CLI, or call the same tool over MCP. It needs id. The check digit is computed from the other characters. The result carries the method it used, the data it used, anything still missing and the next steps worth taking, for a licensed professional to review.
When does this trade settle?
T+1 settlement date under SEC Rule 15c6-1, skipping weekends and supplied holidays. Run execution settlement-date in the CLI, or call the same tool over MCP. It needs tradeDate. Settlement counts business days from it. The result carries the method it used, the data it used, anything still missing and the next steps worth taking, for a licensed professional to review.
