Valuation ratios from fundamentals you supply
One command in the Research pack, available in the CLI, as an MCP tool and as a JavaScript import: research tear-sheet.
What it needs, and why
Every input is checked before anything is calculated. financials is required; the rest refine the answer.
| Input | Required | The question it asks | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|---|
financials | yes | What are the current fundamentals: price, EPS, market cap, revenue and free cash flow? | Every ratio comes from these; the library fetches no market data. |
Requests it answers
- “build a tear sheet”
- “what is this trading at”
- “valuation summary”
An agent with this pack loaded picks the command from phrasing like that, asks for whatever input is missing, and reports the figures with the method that produced them.
Run it
node bin/wealth-skills.js research tear-sheet --ticker AAPL --financials '{"marketCap":3.25e12,"price":215,"eps":7.3,"revenue":3.8e11,"netIncome":1e11,"freeCashFlow":1.08e11,"dividends":1.18}'
Limits it inherits from wealth-research
- Ratios are only as current and accurate as the fundamentals supplied.
- The filing summary matches a short keyword list; it is not a reading of the filing.
- Live fetches that fail return
nullvalues with an explanation. Report the data as unavailable; never estimate it. - SEC EDGAR requires
SEC_EDGAR_USER_AGENT(or auserAgentoption) naming your organization and a contact email.
The full pack, its other 1 command and what it deliberately leaves alone are on the Research page.
